How to Make Pillow Cases – Personalized Pillow Cases
Here is a quick guide on how to make envelope pillow cases. Now you can personalize any small thing with pillow cases.
The first thing you need to do is to choose the fabric you are going to use for the pillow cases. Try to use a cotton material as they are the easiest to work with. Once you have the fabrics ready, you can start the process of embroidering.
Embroidery is the next step in making the pillow cases. It is a wonderful method that you can use for making almost anything. You can do it by hand or you can use machines for doing it. We will focus on machine embroidery.
Start by getting the embroidery machine that you want to use. Make sure that you pick the right size of machine. Measure the width and length of the fabric you are going to embroider on. You can also use a measuring tape to do the measurement.
Get a needle that is small enough to easily insert in the holes of the fabric that you want to use. Press the fabric in order to make it more firm. Do not worry about squeezing it too much as you will be working on this part. The embroidery needle should be inserted inside the holes and it will become a little bit loose when you pull it out after you have pressed the fabric.
Now get the needle and press it all the way up and then insert it into the hole. Pull the needle and it will be the most stretchy. Turn it over and press it all the way down and you can now proceed to the next step.
Now start pulling the needle out from the fabric and pull it gently and steadily. You should repeat this process for each hole. Do this for the top, middle and bottom sides of the fabric. If you have any extra holes you can take off the extra fabric and insert them with the needle in place.
The next step is to take out the thread from the embroidery needle and remove the excess thread that was left behind. Keep the thread hanging by the needle to give yourself some breathing room. You now need to take out the needle from the hole where you inserted it earlier. Pull the needle all the way out and then insert it into the hole you just created.
Now the process starts from step one again. All you need to do is take the embroidery needle and slowly pull it out from the fabric and pull it gently and steadily. Do this for each hole and thread.
After you have done this for the entire hole, pull the needle out from the holes and then insert it into the hole and pull it gently and steadily. Repeat this for the other side of the pillow case.
Before you sew the fabric you need to iron it to give it more protection. You can now insert the pillow cases and pin them together. Sew the seam in the middle of the pillow cases.
When you finished your pillow cases, you can show them off to your friends. Tell them how easy it is to make. You can tell them that you did it all by yourself.
